Yeguada La Cartuja - Hierro del Bocado
The most important stud farm in the world dedicated to the Carthusian horse and whose aim is to preserve the genetic flow that it safeguards and contribute to improving the pure bred Spanish horse and in particular the Carthusian breed.
From its foundation towards the end of the 15th century the Carthusian Monastery became the corner stone of breeding jerezano horses. Over the centuries the Carthusian friars formed a stud farm that became one of the most famous and appreciated in the world.
The Yeguada de la Cartuja - Hierro del Bocado is currently the largest reserve of Carthusian horses in the world, with over 200 horses raised in freddom.
