Jerez with children

The extensive cultural and architectural heritage of the city is complemented with spaces specifically designed with children in mind; gardens, squares, pedestrian zones and playgrounds to bring smiles to the faces of the very young, one of which is the Ciudad de los Niños, a space where they can play in the open air.

Other interesting attractions for children are those related with the world of the horse, and they can enjoy watching these beautiful, noble animals in the shows and thematic visits of the Royal Andalusian School of the Equestrian Art and the Yeguada de la Cartuja, visit the Carriage Museum and the Museum of Equestrian Art, or go riding at one of the equestrian centers that offer the activity.

The Christmas period takes on a special relevance in Jerez with Christmas lights, nativity scenes installed in different locations around the historic centre, Christmas markets and visits to the Nativity Scene Museum.

Tour the vineyards, discover the daily labours necessary to tend the vines, the characteristics of the soil and the winemaking culture of the city, one that logically leads us to visit a winery. The mini-train that tours the Tio Pepe winery and the Zoo will delight the younger members of the family.

For those with a passion for motorcycles and motor vehicles, a visit to the Ángel Nieto racing Circuit, the Motor Museum, the chance to drive around a circuit at Karting Racing Dakart Jerez, sightseeing flights, canoe trips down the Guadalete River and hiking routes are all just a few of the proposals for the enjoyment of the whole family.

In addition, Jerez offers some incredible spaces specifically designed for the family, such as the Chapin sports complex and the Ciudad de los Niños, spacious green zones with numerous attractions and possibilities to enjoy sporting activities for both young and old.

Numerous children’s play areas, pedestrian zones in the historic centre and sporting facilities that allow for the enjoyment of a range of sports for the young: swimming, football, horse riding, running, etc..

A visit to the city of Jerez with children is a great way to travel and enjoy a family holiday. Don’t miss it!
