The owners of Bodega Almocadén, the González family, first began to make wine towards the end of the 19^th century, but it wasn’t until 1915 when its first winery facilities were founded in the old Phoenician settlement of Mesas de Asta.

Juan González Sillero continued the work his father commenced and dedicated his life to the art of ageing his wines

Their vineyards are located in the Almocadén vineyard zone, between the prestigious zones of El Carrascal and Macharnudo.
