At the very heart of the neighbourhood stands the majestic San Miguel Church, a true gem of Gothic architecture that also incorporates Renaissance and Baroque elements. Inside, a magnificent altarpiece created by Juan Martínez Montañés and José de Arce in the 17th century stands out as a work of great artistic value. Built between the 15th and 18th centuries, this church is one of the largest in Jerez.

But the significance of San Miguel goes far beyond its architecture. This church holds part of the soul of the neighbourhood: it was here that Lola Flores was baptised, following her birth on 21 January 1923.
