Santo Domingo Church
The complex of the Cloisters and Santo Domingo Church constitutes one of the most beautiful and spiritual spaces in Jerez. Founded in the 13th century, it was one of the first Dominican convents in Andalusia and played a fundamental role in evangelisation following the Christian conquest. Its architecture combines Gothic and Renaissance elements, and its interior houses altarpieces and a cloister of great beauty, now restored as a cultural space. Santo Domingo has long been a place of prayer and learning, and continues to be a spiritual and artistic landmark in the heart of Jerez.
