Archaeological Museum
In the Plaza del Mercado, the Municipal Archaeological Museum opens a portal to the history of Jerez. Within the walls of this 18th-century mansion, remains spanning from prehistory to the Modern Age are on display: ceramics, inscriptions, and Roman and Islamic pieces that narrate centuries of life.
Among them all, the 7th-century BC Greek Corinthian helmet stands out, rescued from the Guadalete river like a message from the past. With educational resources and reconstructions that give voice to history, the museum invites visitors to explore the origins of the city with fresh eyes.
