Linked for more than a century to the emblematic Domecq family, Bodegas Fundador is one of the great historic references of the Jerez wine region. Its origins date back to 1730, when it began its activity in a former 17th-century mill. In 1874, it was responsible for producing the first Spanish brandy. Its winery complex includes important heritage elements such as historic gardens, the Riquelme Tower and distinctive spaces like La Mezquita winery, inaugurated in 1974.
A visit to its facilities allows visitors to discover the history and heritage of the winery in an environment that combines architecture, courtyards and gardens. Today, it belongs to the Emperador Group and offers a wide portfolio of Sherry wines and brandies from Jerez. The experience is completed with a gastronomic offering focused on enjoying the typical products of Jerez.
