The Alberto Durán Zoo and Botanical Gardens is one of the privileged natural resources of the city. With a botanical garden containing over 150 different species and a zoological collection of over a thousand animals belonging to 200 different species from all five continents.

The Zoo and Botanical Gardens is a great attraction for visitors, in addition to its extensive botanical and zoological collection it also has an educational role to play, participating in important conservation of species programs.
