Within the Monumental Complex of the Alcázar de Jerez stands the Villavicencio Palace, an elegant 18th-century residence built over the remains of an ancient Almohad palace. Its halls reflect the refinement of the Jerez nobility, with elements that combine restraint and Renaissance beauty. Inside, what was saved from the municipal pharmacy, a 19th-century gem, is preserved. The palace today hosts exhibitions and cultural events, as well as the Salón Internacional de los Vinos Nobles. From its uppermost floor, the Camera Obscura offers visitors a real-time panoramic view of the entire city.
