Cabildo Antiguo
The Casa del Cabildo, the old Town Hall, was built by Andrés de Ribera, Diego Martín de Oliva and Bartolomé Sánchez, the Master Builders of the city
Declared a building of Cultural Interest, in the Monuments section, in 1943, it stands in the beautiful Plaza de la Asunción and is one of the best examples of local Renaissance architecture. Its iconic decoration is clearly visible on the façade.
Given its classicism and aesthetics, this emblematic civil construction represents one of the best examples of renaissance architecture not only in the city, but also in all Andalusia.
It currently forms part of the Town Council facilities.
