It is also interesting to discover the history and beauty of the religious buildings in Jerez and there are many churches that open their doors to visitors. The Cathedral is a mix of gothic, baroque and neoclassical styles and its Bell Tower offers excellent views of the city.

Within the walls of the historic city centre we find the churches of the four evangelists: San Mateos (Matthew), San Marcos (Mark), San Lucas (Luke) and San Juan (John) that lend their names to the four quarters of the city in which they stand.
